Terms of Service
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms govern your use of SigmaPLM, the product lifecycle management service available at sigmaplm.com (the "Service"), operated by the owner of sigmaplm.com ("SigmaPLM", "we", "us"). By creating a workspace or using the Service you agree to them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.
1. The Service
SigmaPLM provides tools for managing parts, revisions, bills of materials, controlled documents, engineering changes, quality records, supplier requests and compliance declarations. Features vary by plan as described on the pricing page. We may improve or change the Service over time; we will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a paid term without notice.
2. Accounts and workspaces
A workspace is created by its first administrator, who may invite further users. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping credentials confidential, and for all activity in your workspace. Supplier portal logins you create for your suppliers are your responsibility, including what you choose to share with them. Tell us promptly at support@sigmaplm.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
3. Plans, trials and payment
Every workspace starts on the free Community plan. Paid plans are priced per workspace, not per seat, and are billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Paid plans begin with a 30-day free trial; you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Billing inside your workspace; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not refund partial periods. If a payment fails we will notify you and may downgrade the workspace to Community after a grace period. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to store or share content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to use;
- probe, scan or attempt to circumvent the Service's security, plan limits or tenant isolation;
- resell the Service or provide it to third parties as a service bureau without our written agreement;
- send unsolicited bulk invitations or use the Service to harass anyone;
- upload malicious code or place unreasonable load on the Service.
Export-controlled technical data is your responsibility: do not store it in the Service unless you have confirmed that doing so complies with the laws that apply to you.
5. Your data
You own the content you put into your workspace. We process it only to provide, secure and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Workspace administrators can export everything in a workspace, and permanently delete the workspace, from Settings at any time. We do not access your workspace content except to operate the Service, to respond to a support request you make, or where the law requires it.
6. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability on self-serve plans. We may perform maintenance, which we try to schedule outside business hours. Support is provided by email at support@sigmaplm.com; response targets depend on your plan. We keep encrypted nightly backups of the Service for disaster recovery, but you remain responsible for keeping your own copies of critical data, for example by using the workspace export.
7. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of these terms. The Service, its software, documentation and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. You may give us feedback about the Service, which we may use without obligation to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate a workspace if you materially breach these terms, if payment remains overdue after notice, or if required by law; where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your data first. After a workspace is deleted, its data is removed from live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data that you could have prevented by using the export function. Our total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including any non-excludable consumer guarantees that apply to you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify workspace administrators by email or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where SigmaPLM's operator is established, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
