Bills of materials

A BOM defines what an assembly is built from: component items, quantities, units, reference designators and per-line notes.

  • Tree view — expand an assembly through every level of its structure.
  • Compare — diff two BOMs (or two revisions of the same assembly) side by side to see added, removed and changed lines.
  • CSV import — bulk-load BOM lines from a spreadsheet export.
  • Reordering — lines carry an explicit sort order so the BOM reads the way your shop floor expects.

BOM edits on released assemblies should go through a change request with the affected assembly recorded, so the modification is reviewed and traceable.
