Supplier portal (restricted logins)

External suppliers can quote RFQs themselves through a restricted portal — without ever seeing your internal data. Available on business and enterprise plans.

Inviting a supplier​

  1. Open the supplier's detail page → Portal access → Invite login (admin only).
  2. SigmaPLM creates the account and hands you a one-time set-password link — send it to your contact however you like (email, chat). No password ever travels through us; the link works once and expires after 7 days.
  3. The supplier sets their password and signs in on the normal login page — they land in the portal automatically.

Need to re-invite? New link mints a fresh one. Deactivate shuts the login off.

What suppliers can and cannot see​

A portal login can only:

  • see RFQs they were invited to (never draft RFQs),
  • submit or update their own quote (prices, lead time, validity, notes) until the RFQ is awarded or cancelled,
  • decline an RFQ,
  • view their own scorecard ratings.

They can never see competitor quotes, your target prices, internal scorecard notes, or any other module — every staff route rejects supplier tokens outright, and portal queries are scoped to their supplier record server-side. Supplier logins don't count against your plan's seats and don't appear in your team list.
