Document vault

The vault stores drawings, specifications, datasheets and any other controlled files.

• Versions — every upload creates a new version; nothing is overwritten.
• Item links — documents link to the items they describe, so a part's detail page shows its complete documentation.
• Lifecycle — documents share the item lifecycle model (in_work → in_review → released → obsolete).

Controlled downloads

When a released document is downloaded it is served as a controlled copy: PDFs are watermarked on the fly and the response carries an X-Sigma-Controlled: true header. This makes it obvious on the shop floor whether a print came from the vault or from someone's desktop.

Storage counts against your plan's quota — usage is visible under Settings → Plan & usage.
