Project management

The Projects module tracks engineering programs alongside the product data they produce.

  • Projects carry a code (PRJ-0001), status (planning / active / on_hold / completed / cancelled), dates and an owner.
  • Phases break a project into stages, each with its own status and a stage-gate checklist that must be satisfied before the gate review passes.
  • Milestones mark dated commitments and render as diamonds on the timeline.
  • Tasks live inside phases with assignees, dates and dependencies, drawn on a Gantt timeline.
  • Resources record who is allocated to the project and at what capacity.

Use projects to give management a live view of where the program stands while the engineering detail (items, changes, quality records) stays linked underneath.
