Quality — NCR, CAPA, FMEA, inspection plans

Four quality record types live under Quality, each with full lifecycle tracking.

Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)

Record a defect against a part or lot with a severity (minor / major / critical) and walk it through open → containment → root_cause → corrective_action → closed.

CAPA with 8D

Corrective / preventive actions link back to the NCR that triggered them. Every CAPA carries the eight 8D disciplines as a server-seeded checklist — work through team formation to congratulating the team, marking each discipline complete as you go. Due dates, closure criteria and an effectiveness review round out the record; overdue CAPAs are surfaced on the Reports page.

FMEA

Failure Mode & Effects Analysis worksheets (design or process). Each row scores Severity × Occurrence × Detection on 1–10 scales; the RPN is computed server-side and rows at or above 125 are visually flagged as priorities for the recommended action.

Inspection plans

Ordered inspection steps tied to an item revision: characteristic, method, measuring tool, acceptance criteria and sample size. Release a plan when it's ready for the floor; obsolete it when superseded.
